Zebedee
Update: Earlier this year Zebedee became very ill. When x-rayed it was discovered that he had a blockage in his intestine – a chunk of plastic. He was operated on immediately but sadly died shortly after the operation. He is very much missed. Such a quirky, energetic, life-loving dog.

Zebedee is 8 years old. He was picked up as a stray when he was just about six months old. He was so terrified that it took the Dog Warden three hours to catch him. By that time she had bonded with him and so took him home after his 7 days were up. But one of her dogs took exception to this bouncy, rude little dog and so he came to me with a view to being rehomed. I’m not sure why he is still here. He was named Zebedee because he was a very bouncy dog and still is. We think he is part Bedlington, part Patterdale but that’s only guesswork.
He is a very loyal little dog and acts as police dog in the pack. He keeps strange dogs at bay by getting in between them and any hostile dog. And he will also deflect any bad temper in the home pack. He’s always on the alert. Zeb has a great zest for life. As soon as he wakes up in the morning he waits for me to make a move and then he bounces around waking up everyone else. I wish I had his “get up and go” in the mornings.
