Matilda
Soon after Marigold arrived, I was asked to take in another Romanian dog. This time it was a genuinely elderly dog. She was in a death camp in the company of another street dog, blind Mosu. I agreed to take Matilda and another organisation that specialises in blind dogs took Mosu. Matilda was quite unwell when she arrived. She has been successfully treated for Erlichia and is now very healthy – if a little overweight. She thinks she is the boss of the household, demands first choice of chair and threatens death to anyone who approaches her food bowl. She is a very loving little dog who loves to sleep in an armchair all day and cuddle up with me the rest of the time. She is a little star.
